Abu Dhabi International Book Fair is held from the 23 – 29 May 2022

There will be over 450 events across the Guest of Honour, Professional, and Cultural programmes taking place.

The inaugural International Congress Of Publishing And Creative Industries takes place on Sunday 22nd May, the day before the official start of the fair, and will host speakers from Disney, Netflix, and TikTok.  The likes of Michael Tamblyn, Juergen Boos, Carlo Carrenho and Jonathan Knight (General manager, games, the New York Times) are also in the line-up. You can find the programme  here and registration for the event is free.

Distinguished international authors speaking include Gayatri Spivak, Adonis, Homi Bhabha, and 2022 SZBA winner Muhsin al-Musawi.  British writer Ed Husain (author of The Islamist) will also be taking part.

Guest of Honour Germany’s dedicated programme includes writers Olga Grjasnowa and Judith Schalansky, publishing director of DOM publishers Björn Rosen, and Oliver Hengstenberg CEO of Cribster.
